Dominican Construction Requirements

nombre

When thinking about building in the Dominican Republic a few requirements need to be set up before starting.

You've purchased your lot and now you're ready to start building, but where do you start?  The building process to get you started on the construction of your new investment is:

1.  Contact Gilbert Arroyo to let us know of your desire to begin the building process.

2.  Soil Stability Testing:  If necessary, soil stability testing may be done to ensure proper building on your lot.

3.  All Architectural Plans, including but not limited to all Civil, Structural, Electrical and Water plans must be drawn up and submitted to the ACC for approval.

4.  Once all of these documents are submitted to the ACC and approved, they are submitted to the government offices for approval and for receipt of permits.  The government offices are:  the Dominican College of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors (CODIA), the City Hall and the Tourism office.  (This process will be taken care of by the construction company with a signed authorization by the client.)

If you have any immediate questions or concerns, you may contact Gilbert Arroyo on our Contact Us page.
